Paimio Sanatorium, 1933 (Southwest Finland Tuberculosis Sanatorium)

At the end of the patient wing was the first scenic lift in the Nordic countries. It was used mainly by ward nurses, whose accommodation was located next to the lift. The large lifts in the centre of the sanatorium were not for patient use either. Patients had to use the yellow main staircase to build up their strength.
