Summer is Here – Paimio Sanatorium’s Summer Season is Open.

Paimio Sanatorium is open for the summer season from May 15th to September 1st, 2024, Tuesday to Sunday, 10 AM to 6 PM.

At Paimio Sanatorium, the summer is made of architecture, culture, nature, and experiences. This summer’s program includes the AIR exhibition, showcasing leading Finnish contemporary artists, the Another Reality exhibition by students from the Free Art School, and AVOIN, which combines the forms of ceramics and wood.

A summer highlight is Josefina Nelimarkka’s forest installation, Atmospheric Un/knowing, which guides visitors on a meditative walk through the woods.

Guided tours of the sanatorium’s history and architecture are available daily in Finnish and English.

Guests can also stay overnight at Paimio Sanatorium. Seven rooms in the patient wing of the main building have been renovated to reflect the clear and serene atmosphere of the original patient rooms.
