During summer 2025, Paimio Sanatorium offers a range of guided tours that invite visitors to explore the building’s architecture, history, and the everyday life of the sanatorium community.

Tours are available in English, Swedish and Finnish, and they are designed to suit a wide range of audiences.

Glimpses of Paimio Sanatorium (in English)
This 60-minute tour offers an introduction to the unique architecture and daily life of the former tuberculosis sanatorium. The tour includes key spaces within the building and insights into the thinking of Aino and Alvar Aalto.

Tours in Finnish
In addition to the English and Swedish tours, several Finnish-language tours will be available throughout the summer. These include both introductory and in-depth options, such as the new Parantolan salaiset käytävät tour, which offers rare access to areas normally closed to the public.

All tours include access to the permanent exhibition Rooms at Paimio Sanatorium, which presents the architecture, furniture, and stories of the building in an immersive format.
