We are happy to welcome Elna Nykänen Andersson to the Paimio Sanatorium team.

As an informal ambassador, Elna will help raise visibility and support for us in Sweden and also contribute to our journey forward as a content partner.

Elna is an acclaimed journalist, content creator and creative consultant passionate about culture and society, be it politics, food, fashion, design or lifestyle. She is a columnist for Finland’s leading daily Helsingin Sanomat and contributing writer for Konfekt magazine, and worked previously for several years as the Stockholm correspondent for Monocle magazine.

In addition to writing, Elna has a long career as a broadcaster and diplomat. She has worked as a news anchor for Sweden’s public service broadcaster SVT and was, between 2019-2024, Finland’s Press and Culture Counsellor in Sweden.

Elna holds a Master’s degree in communications and politics from the University of Helsinki and a Master of Arts from the National Film and Television School in the UK. Elna is a Finnish and Swedish national and now lives in Stockholm.
