Warmly welcome to visit Alvar and Aino Aalto’s achitectural masterpiece and relax in its extraordinary atmosphere in the heart of the pine forest. 

Paimio Sanatorium is a key site of architecture, furniture design and innovation in Finland. It is also one of the most internationally renowned and significant Finnish buildings. The Sanatorium represents humane architecture of well-being – a philosophy that continues to this day.

The breakthrough work of the young architect couple designed in the 1930s is now open to visit and stay. Please note the exceptional opening hours of the winter season.
